OFFICIAL RAFFLE RULES, LEGAL NOTICES, AND RELEASES

 

You must be 18 years of age to purchase ticket and win a prize.  Winner need not be present to win.  A ticket purchase reflects the buyer’s agreement to abide by all terms of the raffle, and all city, county, state and federal laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited by law.  Winners are responsible for delivery of the cash, or the vehicle from the selling dealership, including any and all expense and agree to hold the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal harmless.  The Kiwanis Club of Hannibal is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets.  Tickets are void and will not be honored if stolen, unissued, illegible, forged, mutilated or altered in whole or in part.  Any dishonored check received for payment of a ticket shall void entry.  The ticket registration is the only valid receipt to claim prize.  By purchasing a ticket, a ticket holder agrees to the use of his/her/its name and picture or likeness publicly by the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal, in the news media, via internet, print, radio or television, without further notice and compensation.  Holder of a raffle ticket entry does hereby acknowledge that members of the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal and their families may enter this raffle.  The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received but not greater than 1 in 2,500.

 

Prize winners shall be responsible for vehicle insurance coverage, all applicable license fees, delivery charges, local, county, state, and federal taxes.  Grand prize winner must disclose winner’s address and social security number to the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal who will forward a Federal Income Tax Form 1099 and necessary withholdings to the Internal Revenue Service disclosing the prize winner and the amount of the prize.  Winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal, its members, officers and directors from any liability for state and/or federal income taxes due.

 

The Kiwanis Club of Hannibal reserves the right to substitute a 50/50 drawing in lieu of a vehicle or $15,000 cash prize, if a minimum of 1,500 tickets are not sold. There shall be only one grand prize winner, one monthly winner each month, and two $300 winners. The drawings for $300 will be held at noon and 2:00 pm and the grand prize raffle winner shall be drawn at 4:00 pm, on July 4, 2010, in Central Park, 4th & Broadway, Hannibal, Missouri. All postal entries received by 11:00 am on July 4, 2010, and all direct sales entries until the time of drawings shall be eligible for the raffle.  The winners will be contacted by telephone or U.S. mail at the address given on the ticket.  The winners, after being contacted by the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal, must make arrangements to claim prize within 30 days of the date the notice is mailed.  If a prize is not claimed within that time period, there will be a redrawing at a date and time to be determined by the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal.

 

By purchasing a ticket, you expressly disclaim and release and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal from any and all liability associated with conducting the raffles. The Kiwanis Club of Hannibal reserves the right to conduct the drawings in a manner it deems reasonable.  The decision of the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal shall be final on all matters concerning this raffle. The Kiwanis Club of Hannibal reserves the right to use all reasonable efforts within their discretion to verify authenticity and the official winners.  The winning tickets become the exclusive property of the Kiwanis Club of Hannibal and will not be returned.  Entries and tickets are not transferable.   To be eligible for the monthly drawings, entries must be in the possession of the Club Treasurer by noon on the day of the drawing.  Monthly drawing and preliminary drawing winners will be eligible for all future drawings.
